Q. Will the same gauge and probe work in gasoline, diesel fresh water and black water?
A. Yes, the standard ultrasonic probe is used for all applications, cutting the probe to length in the field to fit each tank.
Q. How is gauge calibration to my tank performed?
A. Turn on power, push button on controller moving needle on gauge until it points to the zero mark. Release button wait 10 seconds(saving in flash) then push button again to move needle up to point to the current volume in tank. Then release button. This data is then saved in Flash. You should know the volume in your tank 25%, 30%, 50% or more as close as possible before calibrating. Recommend tank be more that 1/2 full when calibrating.
Q. Why does my gauge read high or low when accelerating?
A. The liquid in the tank moves to the back or front of tank during acceleration, resulting in level change. It could be higher or lower depending on where probe is in the tank.
Q. Which gauge technology is the best?
A. The reliability and accuracy of the ultrasonic probe far exceeds all float probes.
Q. How long will the probe last?
A. The ultrasonic probe is designed to last more than 5 years with the standard warranty being 1 year. We have many probes that remain working after more than 10 years of service.
Q. How do I get technical assistance from the factory?
A. Call us during normal business hours or send an email, click on Support Button at top of this page for details.
Q. Can I get extended warranty on probes?
A. Yes, for $50 per probe at purchase time you can extend probe warranty to 5 years.
